Affinity – Ship Construction

Consulting, Logistics, Reception and delivery of buildings, Engineering services

Project for a warehouse under construction for the distribution warehouse activity of food products for pets.

General characteristics of the ship:

  1. Total constructed area: 27,767.00 m².
    • General characteristics of the ship: Total constructed area: 24,500 m².
  2. Distribution of spaces:
    • Store: 24,500 m² with storage areas designed to manage high-risk and medium-risk products.
    • Offices: 780 m² distributed on a floor dedicated to offices and dressing rooms.
    • Parcel: 35,000 m² with strategic planning to optimize access and logistics.
  3. Structure and facade: The warehouse will have a robust structure and a prefabricated façade, similar to other Engind projects, allowing for faster and more efficient construction. The construction of this warehouse is planned to be completed within a period of 11 months, with a scheduled delivery in May 2022. The high-planimetry pavement is designed specifically for the use of guided forklifts, ensuring smooth and safe operation within the warehouse. .
  4. Warehouse and technical equipment:
The warehouse is designed to handle products with specific storage requirements, including a minimum useful height of 15.50 m that allows storage of up to 10 pallet heights. This design makes it easy to take advantage of vertical space and maximizes storage capacity. In addition, the warehouse is prepared for the installation of automated trilaterals, which allows storage and recovery of products without the need for operators. The sprinkler installation has been planned so that the building can store 8 to 10 pallets per height, maintaining only a single sprinkler height to maximize fire safety.
  5. Sustainability and certifications: Sustainability is a fundamental pillar of this project. The ship will have a roof prepared for the installation of photovoltaic systems, contributing to the generation of green energy and reducing the environmental impact of logistics operations. Engind has designed the project to meet the requirements of the Breeam Excellent certification, both in Phase 1 and Phase 2, guaranteeing high standards of energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.
  6. Design and accessibility criteria:
    • Vehicle access: Phase 2 will include 2 accesses for flat-foot vehicles, in addition to the 25 loading and unloading molls implemented in Phase 1, adding 14 additional molls in this second phase.
    • Complementary spaces: In addition to warehouse spaces, the warehouse will have changing rooms for staff, optimizing the infrastructure for the well-being of employees.

This project reflects Engind's commitment to quality, safety and sustainability in the development of logistics infrastructure. With a meticulously planned architectural and facility design, the ship is destined to be a benchmark in operational efficiency and environmental responsibility.
